This is a mix of dramatic events and the absolutely everyday – and I think that is one of its most important messages – in the midst of Syria being torn apart people still had lives they were living – shopping to buy, washing to do, etc.
We follow an ordinary man just trying to get through life – this is not a story about the high drama and heroic acts of war, it is the other side of that story – but I would say no less heroic.
